“Courage is not something that you already have that makes you brave when the tough times start. Courage is what you earn when you’ve been through the tough times and you discover they aren’t so tough after all.” – Malcolm Gladwell
GOALS: How to achieve your goals in 2014 (HBR)
Don’t stress! Just change the way you think about stress.
Act like a leader before you are one.
Decide what not to do in order to make time for the work that matters.
Try not to make decisions when you’re nervous.
Money can actually buy happiness (if you give it away).
Basically, be generous.
And say “thank you.”
Go to sleep.
And go for a walk, too.
MEDITATION: Every creative idea, every second of happiness, is from stillness…. But the way you move around the world has nothing to do with the stillness in your heart. Moving meditation—that’s what we have to practice. It doesn’t mean you have to move slow; you just have to see the world in slow motion. – Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons on meditating twice a day
